The fall 2018 season anime series Okoshiyasu, Chitose-chan is based on the manga from Yukiko Natsume and with the home video side wrapping up in Japan, the streaming is now expanding. Crunchyroll added the first eight episodes of the twenty-four episode series last week and will be adding eight more this Wednesday and then the final batch on June 5th, 2019. Streaming for this is limited as it’s open to viewers in the US and Canada only.
VAP handled the Japanese home video releases. The twenty-four episode series is getting released as three DVDs that began on February 20th, 2019. The final volume is coming up on April 24th, 2019 and we now have a look at the finalized cover artwork for it. The DVDs are priced at 2,000 yen each while a limited edition is set for 4,500 yen where they’ll contain a plush pouch for the first one, a marche bag for the second one, and a tissue case for the third one.
Kyou Yatate directed it with studio Gathering working on the animation for it. With Shinichi Tsutsumi narrating it, the cast of characters is being handled by just two actors: Koji Yusa and Kotori Koiwai.
The original manga began in Be-Love magazine back in 2016 with three compiled volumes released to date.
