Sentai Filmworks has another series that they’re looking to give the dub treatment to with the short-form horror series Yamishibai. The distributor has plans for it to be released this year in bilingual form. What we’re waiting to see, however, is if it’s just the first two seasons or if they’ve now picked up the four seasons that have come out since. There’s a lot of opportunities to work with a wide range of voice actors with a project like this since the cast changes with each episode and with there being six seasons in Japan and the two they released previously here, lots of room to play with the casting side.
Kunpei Yanagawa is directing with scripts by Hiromu Kumamoto and Mitsuhiro Sasaki. ILCA is producing the animation while Kanji Tsuda is serving as the narrator with a rotating cast of actors.
