What They Say:
Bouida Haruto is a hardcore otaku who has no interest in 3D (real) girls. One day, he bought a figure of his favorite anime heroine, Nona, but then suddenly, Nona started to move! The frenzied married life between one otaku and one robot (?) is about to start!

The cast for this show expanded a bit the last time around and that didn’t exactly do a lot for me, though I liked Bellnoa. You know with a show like this that the cast is going to get a little out of control because they’re often all shown in the opening sequence ahead of time. When it sticks to a smaller number of characters I’m generally a bit more interested because it’s allowed to keep its focus rather than sprawling out while trying to hit every character quadrant to appeal to the widest audience possible. The show loses a little something of itself based on just how many characters it looks like it’ll introduce from what you see in the opening sequence.

The first half of this has Bouida playing the game with Bellnoa inside of it and he’s having fun as they head to level up in the starter village and have a good time. Things take a bit of a twist when he’s later attacked by Bellnoa’s ally, Nazuna, and it’s almost a pretty romantic scene as she prepares to kill him and he begins to come across all affectionately in the right ways. And then the wrong ways with just how much skin he can see since she’s wearing videogame armor, which has her wanting to kill him even more. While that plays out in the game, we get Nanako and Ozma watching from the other side of the TV when suddenly someone new shows up and offers them a way into the game to help. Nanako’s intent on letting the game play out but when it’s pointed out that Bouida and Bellnoa may have gotten busy in-game, that changes the equation.

In Summary:
There’s lots of game humor in this one, more so than the past couple of episodes, as most of it takes place within the game. It does work for the most part with what it does but it also again suffers from being too long and drawn out for what it is. This show has its moments and I think it’d hit a decent size number of fans because of the overall look and general silliness, but the back half repeatedly feels like the show is overstaying its welcome and becomes more of a drag than enjoyment as it progresses.
