With Aniplex USA handling the home video release for the Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu anime series in North America KSM Anime is handling the German release of the property. The show is getting a bilingual release that landed on March 28th, 2019 and we now have our first teaser for the second volume coming out on June 27th, 2019 that showcases the German language dub. It’ll feature the second round of four episodes of the series priced at 38 euro on Blu-ray and 33 euro on DVD. On-disc extras include the episode previews and the clean versions of the opening and closing.

The Japanese cast includes Ryouhei Kimura as Izuminokami Kanesada, Kento Hama as Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Junya Enoki as Horikawa Kunihiro, Seiichirou Yamashita as Aizen Kunitoshi, Tooru Sakurai as Tonbokiri and Soma Saito as Namazuo Toushirou.
The opening theme song is being performed by Soma Saito while Kalafina will be handling the ending theme song.
Plot concept: The year is 1863 as the tumultuous samurai era is coming to an end, Japan is split between the pro-shogunate and anti-shogunate factions. The fate of the world is threatened as an army of historical revisionists are sent from the future to alter the course of history. In order to bring these forces down and protect the real history, two sword warriors, spirits who are swords brought to life by Saniwa (sage), rush to Edo. The polite and thoughtful Horikawa Kunihiro and the short tempered yet skillful Izuminokami Kanesada, who served the same master, confront the invading army along with a lively gang of other warriors including Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Yagen Toushirou, Tombokiri, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga.
