What They Say
The mysterious organization called Kara makes their move to recover their lost vessel. What are their goals and how is it all connected to Konoha Village? Meanwhile, Boruto spars against the strongest opponent he could ever hold to find – his father!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
The organization of Kara is introduced with notable members of Kara not getting along to the point one would assassin the other. After Boruto and Naruto spar, Naruto brings in Team 7 along with Sasuke and scientific took inventor, Katasuke to give Team 7 a mission. They must guard Katasuke and escort him as he brings a scientific ninja tool to a lab. Boruto is not happy at all about the mission as he has unresolved feelings towards Katasuke and how the chunin exam was messed up because of his use of scientific ninja tool and the lecture he received about using them. Boruto and Sasuke reminded Team 7 that the tools are not necessarily good or bad, it’s how they are used. In addition, Naruto asks Sarada and Mitsuki to watch over Boruto because of the mark that Ohtsutsuki gave him.

Their mission takes them via train to Ryutan and on the way, Team 7 and Katasuke sit near Lord Ao and the topic of scientific tools come up again, which gives Boruto another opportunity to think more about the topic. However, Lord Ao, is an “outer” and actually a part of Kara and is informed by another member of Kara that the “vessel” is missing. Lord Ao is given the mission to retrieve the vessel. When they arrive at the lab, they meet class rep, Sumire, and Inuzuka Akita, who works in ninja tools. Team 7’s mission isn’t done, because they need to help test the tools too. Shortly, though Team 7 is deployed to help Konohamaru, but when they find him, they eventually encounter Ao.

In Summary:
The manga version seemingly has a very different storyline than the anime version. The anime, at time of writing this, is at episode 104 and has not even touched on the topic of Kara. It actually makes it feel like I’m sort of reading and watching two completely different stories. I still enjoy the Naruto universe in whatever shape it takes, but just be warned that what you see isn’t what you’ll read!
