It was revealed in January 2019 that Izumo Ito’s manga Machikado Mazoku was getting an anime adaptation. With it set for a TBS run in Japan, the latest issue of Manga Time Kirara Carat has revealed that the series is set for a July 2019 premiere on TBS and BS-TBS. Hiroaki Sakura is on board to direct based on the series composition by Keiichiro Ochi. Mai Otsuka is working on the character designs with JC Staff handling animation production.

The manga from Izumo Ito began in 2014 in the magazine and the four-panel work has four volumes out as of the end of 2018.

Plot Concept: The series is centered on Yūko Yoshida, a 15-year-old girl who awakens one morning with demonic power, and is tasked with defeating a local magical girl. She has horns and a tail, but truthfully less power than an ordinary girl. She struggles to lift the “curse of a 40,000 yen per month living.”
