Guillermo Del Toro has been involved in a number of projects since winning Best Picture for The Shape of Water but he hasn’t taken on the directorial reins since that film. That’s now changing as his Nightmare Alley film is set to head into production this fall and it looks like he’s found his leading actor for it. Leonardo DiCaprio is in talks to start in the film that Del Toro co-wrote with Kim Morgan. It’s set with Fox Searchlight having acquired the worldwide distribution rights to it.
Plot Concept: The film that is based on the 1947 film about a corrupt con-man who teams up with a female psychiatrist to trick people into giving them money.
