Stop me if you’ve heard this Rumiko Takahashi story before.

With the conclusion of Rin-Ne back in 2017, Rumiko Takahashi has spent some time coming up with her next project and it’s one that in its very basics as announced so far is pretty familiar. The new series is going by the name MAO and is planned for a spring 2019 debut with the May 8th, 2019 installment of Weekly Shonen Sunday.

Takahashi has created some of the biggest crossover hits across her lengthy career, from Urusei Yatsura to Ranma 1/2 along with Inuyasha and a slew of others big and small.

Plot Concept: The story is set in a land where two worlds intersect and deals with a strange epic between a boy and girl who meet by fate.
