The fall 2018 anime adaptation of Seiji Ebisu’s light novel property Ore ga Suki nano wa Imōto dakedo Imōto ja nai, which is being localized as My Sister, My Writer, is getting its home video releases handled by Kadokawa. The ten-episode series is getting a five-volume release that began on February 27th, 2019 after a two-month delay. Now, the third volume artwork has arrived ahead of its April 24th, 2019 debut. The DVDs are listed at 6,000 yen each while the Blu-rays are priced at 7,000 yen each. Each set comes with a bonus CD.
Hiroyuki Furukawa served as both the director and the character designer and that NAZ x Magia Draglier handled the animation production. Yuichiro Momose worked on the series composition.
The Japanese cast includes Tasuku Hatanaka as Yū Nagami, Reina Kondo as Suzuka Nagami, Yui Ogura as Mai Himuro, Chinatsu Akasaki as Ahegao W Peace Sensei, and Kazusa Aranami as Sakura Minazuki.
Purely Monster will be performing the opening theme song while Junjo no Afilia will be handling the closing theme song.
The novels have been running since 2016 with artwork by Gintaro.

Plot Concept: The “awkward sibling romantic comedy” series centers around the younger sister Suzuka Nagami and the older brother Yū Nagami. Suzuka is a beautiful third-year middle school student who has excellent grades and is the student council president. She wrote a novel about a little sister who dotes on her older brother, and the novel wins a light novel award. After they discuss the matter, Yū is the one who debuts as a proxy light novel author instead of Suzuka, under the pen name Chikai Towano.
