A-Channel Blu-ray HeaderSentai Filmworks is providing a welcome bit of notice that their license of A-Channel is expiring as they’re highlighting its availability on their online store. The series is “leaving the Sentai Family” with the Blu-ray priced down to $11.99 on their site and the DVD at $9.99. It looks like the final date of availability for it is April 30th, 2019 through them. Retail copies will still exist until stores/distributors run out of stock.

The distributor announced their acquisition of the series back in 2011 and brought the show out on DVD in 2012. They announced a 2015 Blu-ray release in late 2014. A Japanese Blu-ray set with a new OVA was released in 2017 by Aniplex Japan.

Check out our review of the series.

Plot Concept: Toru and Run have been best friends forever, so when Toru learns that she’s managed to get into the same high school as Run, she runs to tell her… only to find Run in a compromising position with yet another girl, Yuko. Needless to say, that makes things a bit awkward at school, with Toru fending off those who might be interested in Run while Yuko and their other girlfriend, Nagi, have to deal with Run’s own penchant for drama.

But it’s not all angst all the time, and as the school year progresses the four girls and their many classmates find time to laugh, play, and figure out how to handle the unexpected problems life likes to throw at them. Like bugs in the house, accidentally giving each other horrible haircuts, freezing up at karaoke, or forgetting to put your underwear on in the morning.
