It’s always great news when a new Lupin the 3rd project is announced and learning last month that the Lupin the 3rd: Fujiko Mine’s Lie feature film is scheduled to land on May 31st, 2019 in Japan was a great thing. This is part of the recent “trilogy” of feature films that begin with Jigen’s Gravestone and was followed up by Goemon Ishikawa’s Sprawy of Blood. The official site has now updated with a great new trailer for it while also revealing two new additions to the cast. Mamoru Miyano has joined as Bincam while Tomoe Hanba has joined as Gene.
The film is directed by Takeshi Koike with a screenplay by Yuya Takahashi, both of whom worked on the two prior films. Animation production was done by Telecom Animation Film. The Japanese cast includes Miyuki Sawashiro as the titular Fujiko Mine, Kanichi Kurita as Lupin, and Kiyoshi Kobayashi as Daisuke Jigen.
