2 min read
A trio of new galactic titles are on their way.

DC Comics has their curated imprint Young Animal lining up some new titles for a summer debut in July and it’s taking a galactic turn for a couple of them. First, we’ve got a new chapter in the Doom Patrol world with Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds. The book comes from Gerard Way with artwork by James Harvey that will land on July 3rd, 2019. It’s described as “This time the Doom Patrol is on an epic interstellar road trip, battling bizarre villains including the fitness fiends of planet Orbius and the Marathon Eternal.”

Launching on July 17th, 2019 is Collapser. This book comes from writers Mikey Way and Shaun Simon with art by Ilias Kyriazis. This series is described as following “Liam James, a would-be DJ who is crippled by his own anxiety. Then a package arrives containing a black hole, which both gives him powers and drags him into a cosmic conflict.”

The last book out that’s undated is Far Sector which comes from writer N.K. Jemisin and artist Jamal Campbell. “New Green Lantern Sojourner “Jo” Mullein has been tasked with protecting the City Enduring, a massive city with 20 billion citizens. The violent crime rate is nearly zero, and has been that way for 500 years, since The City has stripped people of the ability to feel. But suddenly that changes, as a political and philosophical revolution breaks out.”
