We learned back at the end of March 2018 with the conclusion of the Mitsuboshi Colors series based on the manga by Katsuwo that his series Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu is getting an anime adaptation. Crunchyroll picked up and started the series earlier today but in Japan we’ve got Kadokawa promoting the manga – since the anime is a giant advertisement for that. They have a new TV spot out that highlights that the first five volumes are now available and runs with that in a cute way.
The show has Takebumi Anzai set to direct it with Jukki Hanada handling the series composition. Kii Tanaka is on board as the character designer and chief animation director with studio C2C handling the animation production.
The previously announced Japanese cast includes Chisaki Morishita as Bocchi Hitori, Minami Tanaka as Nako Sunao, Akari Kitō as Aru Honshō, Yūko Kurose as Rakita Sotoka, Kana Ichinose as Kako Kurai, Konomi Kohara as Kai Yawara, and Minami Takahashi as Teruyo.
The original manga began in 2013 from Katsuwo and has four volumes released so far as serialized in Comic Dengeki Daioji.
