‘Kakafukaka’ Manga Getting Live-Action TV Adaptation

Aki Terada said goodbye to her first love long ago. When her current boyfriend is caught cheating on her, Aki moves out of her apartment and into a sharehouse, where she's reunited with her first love.

The manga series Kakafukaka from creator Takumi Ishida is making the leap to TV with a live-action series. It’s scheduled for an April 25th, 2019 debut in Japan and it’s getting Amazon Prime Video streaming there. The project has Momoko Fukuda directing based on the scripts by Kumiko Aso.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Aoi Morikawa as Aki Terada
  • Masaki Nakao as Tomoya Hongyō
  • Kōsei Yūki as Taichi Hase
  • Risa Nakamura as Akari Kuritani

The manga, which is being released in English by Kodansha Comics, began in 2013 and has eight volumes out so far as serialized in Kiss magazine.
