‘Dr. Stone’ Anime Cast Expands

With Viz Media bringing out the Dr. Stone manga series from Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, the anime adaptation is set for the summer 2019 season in July and new updates are coming in. The latest update involves the casting side of the production as four more characters from the manga by Riichirou Inagaki and Boichi have arrived. Shinya Iino directing based on the series composition by Yuichiro Kido. Yuko Iwasa is handling the character designs for it.

The newly added cast includes:

  • Gen Sato as Chrome
  • Manami Numakura as Kohaku
  • Tomoaki Maeno as Kinro
  • Ayumu Murase as Ginro

The Japanese cast includes Yusuke Kobayashi as Senku, Makoto Furukawa as Taiju Ōki, Kana Ichinose as Yuzuriha Ogawa, and Yūichi Nakamura as Tsukasa Shishio.

Plot Concept: The series tells the story of Taiju, who wakes up hundreds of years after all of humanity was turned to stone. A gloomy Taiju has no idea what to do, until he finds his science-loving friend Senku. The two decide to jump-start civilization again – by harnessing the power of science to de-petrify humanity.
