Crunchyroll Adds ‘Lord El Melloi II’ Anime Special Streaming As TV Series Announced

We got the “zero episode” as a New Year’s Special for the Lord El Melloi II, which comes from the Fate/Zero property and the TV series is on the way as part of the summer 2019 season. The series will go by Lord El-Melloi II-sei no Jikenbo: Rail Traveling Grace Note and now it’s added Daisuke Hirakawa as Melvin Waynes. Makoto Katou is directing based on the series composition by Ukyou Kodachi. Jun Nakai is serving as the character designer with TROYCA handling the animation production. Yuki Kaijura is on board with the music for it.

Crunchyroll is on board to simulcast and brought out “Episode 0” already, which is available in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

The series is based on the novel series by Makoto Sanda with artwork by Mineji Sakamoto which began in 2014. It has eight volumes out as of this writing and a manga by Tou Azuma that began in 2017.

Plot Concept:  When Lord El-Melloi II, the former Waver Velvet, gets asked to claim his inheritance over Adra Castle, he travels there with his apprentice Gray to do so. But they are not the only ones called that way. The will of the previous owner states that the assembled contestants – including Luviagelita Edelfelt – must compete in a game of wits to win the castle.
