The anime adaptation of the manga series Dumbbell Nan-Kilo Moteru? from Yabako Sandrovich and MAAM got the nod earlier this year. The title translates as How much heavy dumbbells can you lift? and now the official site has updated with more on the summer 2019 season by giving us a new promotional video. It’s a cute one done in a documentary style introductory piece that sets quite the mood.
The series has Mitsue Yamazaki directing based on the scripts from Fumihiko Shimo. Ai Kikuchi is working on the character designs with Doga Kobo handling the animation production.
The previously announced cast includes Ai Fairouz as Hibiki Sakura, Sora Amamiya as Akemi Soryuin, Shizuka Ishigame as Ayaka Uehara, and Nao Toyama as Zina Void.
The original manga comes from Yabako Sandrovich and MAAM has six volumes out since it began back in 2016 on the Ura Sunday manga site. This is the second adaptation of one of Sandrovich’s works as Kengan Ashura received one as well.

Plot Concept: The series focuses on Hibiki Sakura, a high school girl who loves eating, and Akemi Sōryūin, a schoolmate who has a muscle fetish.
