Happinet is going back in time by setting a new Blu-ray box set for the 2002/2003 anime series Digimon Frontier. The complete series is getting a big Blu-ray box set priced at 53,800 yen that will arrive on April 2nd, 2019 and we now have a look at the wrap for the box in a larger size as well as the packaging as a whole, which should delight fans. It’ll be released with eight discs that also includes a new drama CD and a re-edited booklet from previous ones. On-disc extras look to include the clean opening and closing sequences.
The series was directed by Yukio Kaizawa based on the series composition by Sukehiro Tomita. Akiyoshi Hongo and Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru worked on the character designs with Tadayoshi Yamamuro serving as the chief animation director with Toei Animation handling the production.
The Japanese cast includes Hiroshi Kamiya as Kouji Minamoto, Junko Takeuchi as Takuya Kanbara, Kenichi Suzumura as Kouichi Kimura, Kumiko Watanabe as Tomoki Himi, Masato Amada as Junpei Shibayama, Sawa Ishige as Izumi Orimoto, Kae Araki as Patamon, Kazuko Sugiyama as Bokomon, and Masami Kikuchi as Neemon.
Plot Concept: Five children receive strange messages on their cell phones that lead them to a train that takes them to the “Digital World”; a strange world filled with bizarre creatures called “Digimon”. These children have been sent there to stop an evil Digimon named Cherubimon from completely annihilating the planet of all its inhabitants. In order to accomplish this, the 5 children must locate their “spirits”, which will evolve them into the Legendary Warrior Digimon. Unfortunately for them, Cherubimon has ordered his servants to stop the kids from finishing the mission; eventually the children will have to fight Cherubimon’s forces in order to save the planet.
