The first two seasons of Bungo Stray Dogs is gearing up for its third season, which still sounds a bit crazy to say, and the official site is doing some new promotion. A new 66-second promotional video has arrived that showcases more of the project while also revealing an April 12th, 2019 debut on Tokyo MX before it rolls out to other broadcasters and streaming services.

The basics are all still very much what we hoped for as the core team is back as the anime adaptation will be produced by Bones with Takuya Igarashi directing based on the series composition by Yoji Enokido again.

Nobuhiro Arai served as both character designer and chief animation director for the first season but that has not been confirmed for the new season yet.

Additional cast includes Patrick Seitz as Doppo Kunikida, Vic Mignogna as Rampo Edogawa, Spike Spencer as Junichirō Tanizaki, Lucien Dodge as Kenji Miyazawa, and Erica Lindbeck as Akiko Yosano.

The manga comes from writer Kafka Asagiri and artist Harukawa35 has been moving along since 2012 and had a two-cour anime season and a feature film.

Plot concept: Nakajima Atsushi was kicked out of his orphanage, and now he has no place to go and no food. While he is standing by a river, on the brink of starvation, he rescues a man whimsically attempting suicide. That man is Dazai Osamu, and he and his partner Kunikida are members of a very special detective agency. They have supernatural powers and deal with cases that are too dangerous for the police or the military. They’re tracking down a tiger that has appeared in the area recently, around the time Atsushi came to the area. The tiger seems to have a connection to Atsushi, and by the time the case is solved, it is clear that Atsushi’s future will involve much more of Dazai and the rest of the detectives!
