The fall 2018 anime adaptation of the 2014 manga series Hinomaru Zumō from Kawada is moving right along and Funimation is doing some new promotion for it. The second cour is out there now and they’re getting in from the beginning by streaming the second opening sequence with the theme song “Be the Naked” by Lead. It’s also a good way to get the day started with some good upbeat moving and grooving music.
Konosuke Uda is the chief director with Yasutaka Yamamoto directing it. Kii Tanaka is on board working the character designs with GONZO handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Atsushi Abe as Hinomaru Ushio, Fukushi Ochiai as Shinya Ozeki, Kentarō Kumagai as Yūma Gojō, Takuya Satō as Chihiro Kunisaki, Ayumu Murase as Kei Mitsuhashi, Takuma Terashima as Kirihito Tsuji, Mikako Komatsu will play Reina Gojō, Rui Tanabe will play Chizuko Hori, Justin Tomimori as Daniel Stefanov, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Sōsuke Kuze, Noriaki Sugiyama as Jin Yomoda, Takuto Yoshinaga as Shun Kariya, Daisuke Namikawa as Gennosuke Araki, Kaito Ishikawa as Mizuki Sada, Yoshito as Yūki Sanada, Subaru Kimura as Tsuyoshi Kanamori, Hiroki Matsukawa as Keiichi Mamiya, and Taku Yashiro as Rion Sawai.
The property has twenty volumes out so far.
HIGE DANdism is set to perform the opening song for the series while Omedetai Atama de Nani Yori will handle the ending theme song.
