The 8th and final season of Games of Thrones is set for this year and we recently got a premiere date of April 14th, 2018 for it. A spring premiere was pretty much expected based on previous comments from HBO and after getting a brief teaser for it back in January, HBO is now back with the big two-minute trailer that delves into a whole lot more and shows off a good deal of what’s to come in the final run.

With episodes directed by David Nutter, Miguel Sapochnik, and David Benioff &D.B. Weiss, the main cast includes Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Liam Cunningham as Davos Seaworth, Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy, Nathalie Emmanuel as Missandei, Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth, John Bradley as Samwell Tarly, Isaac Hempstead Wright as Bran Stark, Hannah Murray as Gilly, Rory McCann as Sandor “The Hound” Clegane, Iain Glen as Jorah Mormont, Conleth Hill as Varys, Carice van Houten as Melisandre, Jerome Flynn as Bronn, and Joe Dempsie as Gendry.

Series Concept: George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book series “A Song of Ice and Fire” is brought to the screen as HBO sinks its considerable storytelling teeth into the medieval fantasy epic. It’s the depiction of two powerful families — kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and honest men — playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne.
