Funimation Is Now Selling Sub/Dub Episodes Of ‘Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka’ Anime On Amazon

Five magical girls are once again conscripted to war as the Magical Girl Special-Ops force, to defend mankind from an unholy nemesis.

The anime adaptation of Makoto Fukami and Seigo Tokiya’s Magical Girl Special Ops Asuka property as part of the winter 2019 season is moving right along and a new access point for it has arrived. For those that prefer to do digital subscriptions and have new episodes in the owned bucket, Funimation is selling the series through Amazon now where you can get them for $2.99 per episode or the whole season for $24.99. You can get it in either its original Japanese or English dubbed format.  The series is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto based on the series composition by Norimitsu Kaiho. Yoko Suzuki is handling the character designs with LIDEN FILMS producing the animation.

The previously announced Japanese cast includes Aya Suzuki as Asuka Otorii, Akira Sekine as Kurumi Mugen, Eriko Matsui as Mia Cyrus, Ayana Taketatsu as Chisato Yonamine, Chinami Hashimoto as Sayako Hata, Rie Takahashi as Nozomi Makino, M.A.O as Tamara Volkova, Yōko Hikasa as Rau Peipei, Kenji Nomura as Yoshiaki Iizuka, and Kokoro Kikuchi as Sacchū.



The series began its serialization in Big Gangan in the summer of 2015. Seven Seas has been releasing the series in English since November 28, 2017.

Plot concept: When the Earth is threatened by the sudden appearance of undead creatures, a group of young women blessed with powers from a mysterious source rose to defeat them. Now, after three years of apparent peace, the same malevolent creatures have resurfaced.
