What They Say
When masturbation is your only real release outlet for your frustration, how would you handle having that taken away from you? Well, Hideo is a stronger man than I was at that age. Since Kurumi seems to get a lot of pleasure from making Hideo suffer, she has forbade him from masturbating for the next two weeks. Normally I would have said that would never be possible. However, it seems Hideo so desperately wants to please Kurumi that he follows her orders. This leads to one of the funnier scenes in this volume when the Roman Club, including Kurumi and Kyouko, all travel to a mountain hut to look for UFO’s. Hideo has a wet dream while everyone is asleep, and unfortunately, for him he is the last one to wake the next morning. Yeah, everyone sees exactly what happened and I’m sure more people will hear about it when Kyouko gets back to school.

Much of this volume revolves around masturbation and Kurumi’s teasing/torturing of Hideo. Well, actually, I’m guessing that is what every volume focuses on. The jokes are genuinely funny, in a perverted way of course. So far, there has remained relatively little character development, aside from Hideo becoming more trusting of Kurumi. The reader still knows very little of Kurumi and her motives. We do learn that she lives alone in a single room apartment and that the Old Boys of the Roman Club seem to know something about her. She doesn’t seem to be a Virginity Assassin sent by the Old Boys, not that that would make any sense since she could have single-handedly taken down all three current members of the Roman Club. How long will her motives and past be drawn out? If Hideo isn’t careful, he’s going to end up with a chronic case of blue balls.

In Summary:
If sadism or masochism is your thing, or the idea of having a female classmate that exudes sex but keeps her goods bottled up sound like fun, then you should be reading Sundome. Even if those things aren’t your bag baby, but you enjoy raunchy sexual humor, then you should check this title out. On the other hand, if any of that is a turnoff, then you should definitely avoid this title. Personally, I’m enjoying the heavy ecchi flavor and crude sexual humor, but I would still like to see a good shot of character development in each volume.
