The CW is getting a look at the next episode of Black Lightning that’s set to arrive with “Original Sin,” which is scheduled for a March 4th, 2019 debut. The 13th episode of the 2nd season, it’s directed by still to be announced based on the screenplay by still to be announced. This episode brings us another episode in the Book of Secrets arc in the season.

Season Concept: A man with many faces, Jefferson Pierce is a respected educator and father of two. He’s also Black Lightning, superpowered protector of Freeland with the ability to sense and harness electricity. Jefferson is not the only one with powers and multiple faces. His oldest daughter, Anissa is a medical student, part-time teacher and dedicated social activist. She’s also the superhero known as Thunder who’s able to drastically increase her density, giving her invulnerability and super strength. Finally, Jefferson’s youngest daughter, Jennifer is a fiery teen who inherited her father’s athletic gifts and his superpowers. Her body generates pure electrical energy with the potential to be more powerful than Anissa or Jefferson. Together, the Pierce family faces the challenges of the declined urban community that is Freeland, including corrupt officials and a menacing gang that calls itself The 100.
