The spring 2018 anime series Hinamatsuri is long done and gone at this point but Crunchyroll is doing some new promotion for it. The show was directed by Kei Oikawa based on the series composition by Keiichirou Ohchi. Kanetoshi Kamimoto served as the character designer and chief animation director with studio feel. producing the animation.

The Japanese cast includes Takako Tanaka as Hina, Yoshiki Nakajima as Yoshifumi Nitta, Rie Murakawa as Anzu, Kaede Hondo as Hitomi Mishima, Yoko Hikasa as Utako, Ari Ozawa as Mao, Tsuyoshi Koyama as Kiyoshi Baba, and Kengo Kawanishi as Sabu.

The work comes from the manga by Masao Ohtake that kicked off in 2010 and has thirteen volumes out.

Plot Concept: One night, a strange object falls on the head of Nitta, a member of the yakuza. Inside the box is a strange young girl named Hina. She has tremendous supernatural powers, and Nitta finds himself reluctantly taking her in. Her powers can come in handy for his yakuza business, but he also runs the risk of her using them on him! Not to mention, if she doesn’t use her powers, she will eventually go berserk and destroy everything around her. Nitta and Hina’s strange life together is just beginning…
