Live-Action Adaptation Of The ‘Iyasaretai Otoko’ Manga Lands This Spring

The show focuses on Hiro Akiyama, an office worker in a mid-size company, who is stressed out every day at work. He relaxes by people watching in the city and having sometimes lewd fantasies about the women he sees. Oh, come on Japan!

The leap from manga to live-action is a lot easier than it is to anime for a lot of properties and a new one is on track for this spring. The Iyasaretai Otoko manga is set for an April 2019 debut on TV Tokyo and heading to BS TV Tokyo in July. The show has Tsukuru Matsuki, Takashi Ninomiya, and Junya Funatani directing it with scripts from Masahiro Moto, Shinichi Tanaka, and Eiichi Davis Mizoi

The cast at the moment is revealed with Kosuke Suzuki as the lead.

The manga comes from Hiro Akiyama which began in 2015 and completed in 2017 with a single volume that came out in 2018.
