‘Mix’ Anime Adaptation Reveals New Key Visual & Casting

The anime adaptation of the Mix manga from Mitsuru Adachi is moving right along with a planned spring 2019 debut. With it set to tie into the spring baseball season, we now have a new key visual below for fans as well as the reveal that Yuuki Kaji is boarding the project to play Toma Tachibana. The show will be directed by Odahiro Watanabe based on the series composition by Atsuhiro Tomioka. Tatsuto Higuchi, Kenichi Yamada, Yoshifumi Fukushima, and Chinatsu Houjou are all working on scripts for it. Takao Maki is handling character designs while OLM is handling the animation production.

The previously revealed cast was Noriko Hidaka who is reprising her role of Minami Asakura from Touch.

The manga from Mitsuru Adachi launched in 2012 and has thirteen volumes out this year. It’s related to the events in the Touch manga that ran for twenty-six volumes during the early 1980’s.

Plot Concept: The story takes place in the same Meisei Gakuen high school as Touch, only it is set 26 years later. Like Touch, Mix revolves around brothers and baseball as the main theme.
