Takane & Hana Volume 1

North American manga fans had Viz Media bring out the Takane & Hana series just about this time last year from Yuki Shiwasu and it’s been doing well for them and in Japan. The latest issue of Hana to Yume magazine has landed in Japan and there’s a tease in it that the property will have “big news” with the next issue out on January 19th, 2019. Almost always, this means that an anime adaptation is in the works so there’s plenty of excitement to be had for this.

Check out Viz’s minute-long promotional video below as well as a free preview you can read online here. The series began in 2015 as serialized in Hana to Yume magazine where it has eleven volumes released in Japan so far.

Plot Concept: After her older sister refuses to go to an arranged marriage meeting with Takane Saibara, the heir to a vast business fortune, high schooler Hana Nonomura agrees to be her stand-in to save face for the family. But what happens when Hana meets Takane is an unexpected pairing of utter opposites!
