Second Season Of ‘The Punisher’ Schedules Premiere With Full Trailer

2 min read

As noted yesterday when the first brief teaser debuted, the second season of The Punisher feels like it has a dead man walking aura about it. The problem is that it’s hard to get excited about it since you pretty much know that it’ll be canceled after it airs as they’ve whittled away all the other Marvel TV series so far outside of this and Jessica Jones. And that, my friends, kills excitement and interest.

Regardless, Netflix has now dropped the first full trailer for it and has revealed a… January 18th, 2019 debut. That’s just a couple of weeks away which means they’re giving it the smallest of marketing support and it’s basically being shoved out the door. Contrast this to other well-known shows such as Stranger Things which just got the nod for a July 2019 debut and will have months of marketing support ahead of it.

Property Concept: Former Marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl (Giorgia Whigham). As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as “The Punisher.”
