Australian distributor Madman Entertainment revealed their plans last month with the Overlord II complete season being scheduled. The show is getting released on March 6th, 2018 where the DVD and Blu-ray are priced at $59.95 and $64.95 respectively. They also initially listed a limited edition release priced at $99.95 but there were no details about what makes it limited. Now, with the consumer side updated with what’s coming, the limited edition is not listed and the business side has removed the limited edition, which leaves us with the separate regular editions now.

Extras for all sets include:

  • OVERLORD II at Anime Expo 2018: Interview with Kugane Maruyama & Naoyuki Itou
  • Play Play Pleiades 2
  • Special Preview Collection
  • Promotional Videos
  • Commercials
  • Textless Opening & Closing Songs

The winter 2018 anime series comes from author Kugane Maruyama with illustrations by so-bin that’s published by Enterbrain. It began in the summer of 2012 and released its eighth volume earlier this year. The series has had two drama CDs released with previous volumes.

It’s being animated by Madhouse with Naoyuki Itou directing it based on scripts by Yukie Sugawara and character designs by Takahiro Yoshimatsu as they adapt from the original works.

The series will star Kenta Miyake as Cocytus, Manami Numakura as Narberal Gamma, Masayuki Katou as Demiurge, Shigeru Chiba as Sebas Tian and Yumi Uchiyama as Mare Bello Fiore.

Plot Concept: The series follows a salaryman who remains online when the service for an MMORPG ends. In doing so, he becomes a powerful skeletal wizard. In his new form, he begins attracting followers and conquering the digital world that remains.
