
A new original anime feature film was is coming up in Japan this month with the debut of Ashita Sekai ga Owaru Toshitemo, which translates as Even if the World Will End Tomorrow. The film is set for a January 25th, 2019 debut and the official site has now brought out the full trailer for the project that clocks in at about two minutes. It also gives us a really good listen to the theme song that’s the title of the film from Aimyon.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Yuuki Kaji as Shin Hazama
- Maaya Uchida as Kotori
- Yoshiki Nakajima as Jin
- Sayaka Senbongi as Kotoko
- Aoi Yūki as Miko
- Inori Minase as Riko
- Kenjiro Tsuda as Genji Hazama
- Toshiyuki Morikawa as Shū Izumi
- Nana Mizuki as Yūri
The project has Yuhei Sakuragi directing it based on the screenplay he wrote with Craftar listed as handling the original work. A novel is in the works from Sakuragi as well. No casting has been revealed as auditions are currently being held.

Plot Concept: The story deals with Shin and Kotori, who are both third years in high school. Shin lost his mother when he was little, and since then he has a tendency to close himself off. Kotori is his childhood friend who always looks out for him. One day, another “self” from another Japan appears in front of them.
