2 min read

The folks at Aniplex Japan are looking to put out a big limited edition set next year that will delight fans as there’s a three-season Dog Days set scheduled. Planned for a February 6th, 2019 debut, it’ll be priced at 48,000 yen and we now have a look at the cover artwork for it with a preview. We’ll hopefully be getting a more expansive view of the packaging soon since it’s a good sized set and has some solid materials in it. The set will feature the 38 episodes of all three seasons with a five-disc set plus a bonus CD. The CD will be a character song collection and the set will also include a tapestry, an illustration collection, and a booklet. On-disc extras include the clean opening and closings and the short movie piece.

The series is based on the original work by Masaki Tsuzuki, who is doing the series composition for this, and will be directed by Junji Nishimura with Katsuya Kikuchi serving as the assistant director. Osamu Sakata will be handling the character designs for it and Seven Arcs is handling the animation production.

The main cast of characters has also been announced with their actors with Mamoru Miyano as Shinku Izumi, Yui Horie as Millhiore F. Biscotti, Nana Mizuki as Ricotta Elmar, Ami Koshimizu as Leonmitchelli Galette Des Rois, Mikako Takahashi as Rebecca Anderson, Aoi Yūki as Kuberu E. Pastillage and Ayana Taketatsu as Eclair Martinozzi.

Plot concept: The Republic of Biscotti faces a predicament by the invasion of Galette Leo Knights. In order to save the country, Princess Milchore summons a “hero” from the outer world. Cinque, a junior high school boy living on the Earth, is chosen as the hero.
