With Viz Media bringing out the Dr. Stone manga series from Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, the reveal last month that an anime adaptation set for the summer 2019 season in July wasn’t much of a surprise. The project has now dropped its first promotional video which also included a new key visual to the right to show off the style of it. We previously knew that the series was going to include Yusuke Kobayashi starring as Senku and now it’s added Makoto Furukawa as Taiju Ōki and Kana Ichinose as Yuzuriha Ogawa, and Yūichi Nakamura as Tsukasa Shishio.

Check out our review of the first volume.

The first volume landed on September 4th, 2018 and the publisher has now put out a promotional video for the manga as well as offering up the first chapter for free viewing here.

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: The series tells the story of Taiju, who wakes up hundreds of years after all of humanity was turned to stone. A gloomy Taiju has no idea what to do, until he finds his science-loving friend Senku. The two decide to jump-start civilization again – by harnessing the power of science to de-petrify humanity.
