The second series for Kemono Friends has been working through its updates over the past few months and as we close in on its January 7th, 2019 debut a new piece has landed. The latest has come in the form of the second full promotional vide for the series which gives us some time with the new human character in the series as played by Yui Ishikawa.

Ryuichi Kimura is directing based on the scripts from Takuya Masumoto. Animation production is being handled by studio Tomason.

The game itself began back in March 2015 on Android and iOS and has done well since then. The first season of the series was directed by TATSUKI based on the scripts he co-wrote with Shigenori Tanabe. The character designs were done by Mine Yoshizaki, the creator behind Sgt. Frog, and it’s being animated at Yaoyorozu.

The Japanese cast includes Yuka Ozaki as Serval, Kana Motomiya as Fennec, Saki Ono as Common Raccoon, Aya Uchida as Kaban, Mikoi Sasaki as Royal Penguin, Ruka Nemoto as Emperor Penguin, Kyōka Tamura as Gentoo Penguin, Aina Aiba as Rockhopper Penguin, Ikuko Chikuta as Humboldt Penguin, Mami Yamashita Margay, Haruka Terui as Hippopotamus, Miyuhan as Sand Cat, Yui Ishikawa as Child, and Riko Koike as Caracal

Plot concept: The anime’s story takes place in Japari Park, a “gigantic integrated zoo.” In the zoo, due to the mysterious “sand star” substance, the animals start turning into human-shaped creatures called Animal Girls. Japari Park is a place where many people visit and have fun at, but one day a lost child wanders into the park. The lost child starts a journey to return, but because so many Animal Girls join in on the quest it becomes an unexpected grand adventure.
