‘Scorching Ping Pong Girls’ Manga Ending

The Scorching Ping Pong Girls manga series, aka Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume, previously saw an anime adaptation back in the fall 2016 season and has been rolling out new chapters since then. Now, with the release of the latest chapter in Tonari no Young Jump, the next chapter coming out on February 1st, 2019 will be the final one and the final compiled volume will arrive in March 2019. The series had three volumes out when the anime adaptation arrives and has six volumes in print so far.

Sadly, the anime while streamed on Crunchyroll never saw a home video release pickup.

Animated by Kinema Citrus, the series was directed by Yasuhiro Irie based on the series composition by Hideyuki Kurata and character designs by Junko Sugimura.

The Japanese cast includes Hisako Tojo as Kiruka Ushirode, Yuuki Kawahara as Hokuto Itsumo, Ayaka Imamura as Mune Oomune, Marika Kouno as Hanabi Tenka, Yumiri Hanamori as Koyori Tsumujikaze and Minami Tanaka as Agari Kamiya.

The series is based on the web manga from Yagura Asano.

The main cast for the show will be performing together as a unit for the opening theme song “Shakunetsu Switch” with the name Tsubamegahara Chuugaku Takkyuu-bu.

Plot Concept: The series follows middle school students Koyori Tsumuzikaze and Agari Kamiya as they enter the world of girls’ middle school ping pong.
