The three Himote sisters, Tokiyo, Kinami, and Kokoro, are living in what they’ve dubbed the “Himote House” in Nakano, Tokyo. Sharing the house with them are their former classmates, Tae and Minamo, and a cat named Enishi. These five unique girls live a boisterous life at the Himote House, spending their days trying to figure out how to get guys to like them. What’s more, the five of them, and the cat, all have a mysterious power…

Himote House played things in an odd way the last time around with one of the members missing but it quickly returned to status quo, which was a lot of hanging around and talking. The show does handle this well and I like the nature of it in how it plays out, especially the more ad-libbed end part, but so much of the conversation in general does very little for me that it ends up just being a lot of white noise. It’s like when you’re at a party and stuck with a group going on about a lot of things that don’t really interest you but you’re unable to get away from it.

This episode puts our gang into a work environment together for a while but doe sit in a way where it’s kind of a playing at it thing. It has Arai being brought into the workplace as a new hire with Kokoro introducing her. But Kokoro is introduced doing it with an old man style voice that must have been hell on the voice actor after a while. But, frankly, the more the episode went on and as it worke the whole artist concept and the over the top elements the more it just left me disinterested in it. It’s working a particular gag but it does it too hard for something that didn’t connect from the start for me. That left the whole experience as just wonky as it pushed me even further away from it.

In Summary:
There’s not much left to the show so sticking it out for a few more episodes to see what else is in story isn’t a problem but it continues to leave me wishing it had connected better. I like the style and design of how this is being put together but it’s done so little to make the characters interesting or the story of the week work that it keeps falling flat mroe and more with almost every episode.
