2 min read

Crunchyroll has brought on another dub to their service that was produced by Funimation with the Ace Attorney series. The first season of the series is now available in its original Japanese language with subtitles as well as the dub for the first season of the show. That season has seen a home video release from Funimation already as well and Funimation is currently dubbing the second season.

Known in Japan as Gyakuten Saiban, Capcom went big with the franchise as there’s a live action film, stage play, music and manga adaptation.

The show was directed by Ayumu Watanabe based on the composition from Atsuhiro Tomioka with A-1 Pictures handling the animation. The Japanese cast includes Yuki Kaji as Ryuuichi Naruhodou, Aoi Yuuki as Mayoi Ayasato, Masashi Tamaki as Reiji Mitsuruji, Chie Nakamura as Chihiro Ayasato, Masami Iwasaki as Keisuke Itonokogiri and Tooru Nara as Masashi Yahari.

Plot concept: Ace Attorney follows rookie lawyer Naruhodo Ryuuichi (Phoenix Wright) and his assistant Mayoi (Maya) as he defends his clients in a court of law. With limited evidence and logic as his only weapon, can Naruhodo turn the case around when all the odds are stacked against him?
