We learned just about a month ago that Aku no Hana, aka The Flowers of Evil, is getting a live-action feature film. The official site has updated to reveal the cast for the film and that it’s being slotted for a fall 2019 debut in theaters. The cast includes:
- Marie Iitoyo as Aya Tokiwa
- Kentaro Ito as Takao Kasuga
- Tina Tamashiro as Sawa Nakamura
- Shiori Akita as Nanako Saeki

Happinet previously revealed that the manga from Shuzo Oshimi is now being produced as a live-action film with NTT Plala. Noburi Iguchi is on board to direct it with Mari Okada handling the screenplay.
The manga was released in North America by Vertical Comics while the anime series was simulcast in much of the world by Crunchyroll. Sentai Filmworks has licensed and previously released it on DVD and Blu-ray in North America. You can see our thoughts on this thoroughly engaging series here.
