Viz Media Sets ‘Hoshin Engi’ Digital Manga Sale

1 min read

Viz Media has picked their next property for a focused sale on the digital media front with Hoshin Engi, sometimes known better as Soul Hunter. The complete series is now on sale on Comixology where volumes are priced at $4.99, which knocks a few bucks off the backlist price and half the print price – if you can find some of the volumes these days. You can also get the sale priced at Amazon.

The manga originally ran back from 1996 to 2000 for twenty-three volumes, which Viz Media released in full here. The anime adaptation under Soul Hunter came out in 1999 that was originally licensed and released by ADV Films. Discotek Media is the current license holder for that twenty-six episode series. Crunchyroll streamed the recent series.

The sale runs through December 3rd, 2018.

Plot Concept: Armed with his new weapon, the Dashinben, Taikobo seeks revenge on the demon Dakki and her sinister sisters. He finds out much more about the godlike Sennins — and what may have really happened to his clan. But looking for survivors only means falling further into Dakki’s darkness.
