There was fun with the whole children’s show aspect the last time around and this one shifts gears to work with the HighxJoker group. Here, we see them discovering a sale with a tasty treat that has a limit of just eight, which is problematic for one of them. Donuts are a must and half-price donuts even more so for a struggling artist! Coming up with a plan to get the donuts is cute between them and then going on the actual journey and just savoring everything up to getting the donuts themselves. The episode does go in a familiar way with the donuts being sold out and there’s all sorts of drama with that but I like that the episode seems more low-key and relaxed than most of the show has been so far.
In Summary:
While I continue to have no real connection to any of these guys and it’s just lacking a certain something that the girls show had, the Side M short has a pretty cute episode here. The focus on HighxJoker works well since everyone loves donuts and there’s a nice bit of camaraderie with their bond as it plays out. The characters continue to be cute and there’s some really fun expressions and wild takes in the mix that will make people grin.
