The To Be Hero & To Be Heroine anime series are finally getting some home video release treatment in Japan as DMM Pictures has now scheduled a Blu-ray box set. The set will contain both seasons with twelve episodes from the first and seven from the second when it lands on November 30th, 2018. It’s priced at 11,100 yen and the packaging is showcased below.
Li Haoling directed it and worked on the script while LAN handled the character designs. Studio Emon and Studion LAN produced the animation.
The cast for it includes Moa Tsukino and Mie Mie as Hanaya Futaba, Motoko Kumai and Ding Dang as Isago Hikaru, Omi Minami and Liu Mingyue as Utsubari Tooru, Seira Ryū as Touin Touichi, Toshihiko Seki as Hattori Hanzo and Chinese Tohoku Muffler, Nozomu Sasaki as Simon Fubuki, Rie Kugimiya as Juuichi, Marika Tanaka as Bouichi, Yumi Kakazu as Chuuichi and Ryuichi, Junko Minagawa and Shan Xin as Min-chan, Maria Kawamura as Oo Paipai, Takeshi Maeda as Sweater Beast, Electro Beast, and Street Vendor, Yukitoshi Tokumoto as Hong Kong Police, Sho Hayami as Selfish Governor, and Yutaka Aoyama as Shifu (Mentor).
Plot concept: You is about to leave home when she suddenly enters an incredible world. Appearing in front of her is an eight-year-old naked boy, and before she could even grasp the situation, she’s attacked by assassins from a mafia group who were chasing the young boy. What was even more unrealistic for You was that the leader of this mafia was another assassin’s attack. Who are those naked kids, why did her shoe turn into a warrior and above all, what kind of world did eight-year-old boy come from? Just like the first one, he’s also almost naked! While trying to escape from the attackers, You loses one of her shoes and by a strange kind of magic, her shoe turned into a warrior who was able to save her by blocking the You enter?
