One really great release that came out several years ago was the Lupin the 3rd: Jigen’s Gravestone feature that landed in 2014 in Japan. Discotek Media picked up the rights for it and produced a dub for it. Now, TMS Entertainment has brought the film to Amazon which opens up its availability a good bit to that audience. The film can be rented in its original Japanese language for $4.99 or you can buy it for $12.99, both in HD. SD versions are available for $4.99 and $8.99 respectively.

The film, animated by TMS Entertainment, is an interesting one because it’s a spinoff of the 2012 TV series Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. The feature is directed by Takeshi Koike, who served as the animation director on the Fujiko Mine series, based on the script by Yuuya Takahashi.

Plot concept: Lupin and Jigen infiltrate East Doroa to capture the secret treasure Little Comet. Queen Malta, a singer from East Doroa, was just assassinated in neighboring West Doroa, resulting in a tense situation at the border. The duo successfully steal the Little Comet, but a sniper tries to take out Jigen during their getaway. Jigen faces a powerful foe named Yael Okuzaki, an assassin who prepares graves for his targets before executing his kills. It is said that no one has survived after Yael Okuzaki makes a grave for that target.
