Viz Media Adds New ‘Sailor Moon Super S’ Part 2 Anime Release Trailer

Viz Media has a new look at the second part of Sailor Moon Super S series with a new trailer that has arrived for it. The release also has a version through Right Stuf which includes a gift with purchase like we saw with the first part. The series in its DVD/BD combo form arrived this week with a November 13th, 2018 debut where it’s priced at $69.99. It’ll include episodes 147 through 166 while on disc extras include a new cast interview, event highlights, and art gallery, and the opening and closing songs. Those that purchase from Right Stuf will receive Sailor Moon Character Art Cards that you can see below.

Directed by Kunihiko Ikuhara based on the series composition by Yoji Enokido, the series was based on the manga by Naoko Takeuchi. Ikuko Ito handled the character designs with Toei Animation producing the work. The season ran for thirty-nine episodes from 1995 to 1996.

The Japanese cast includes Aya Hisakawa as Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury, Emi Shinohara as Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter, Kae Araki as Chibi Usa/Sailor Chibi Moon, Kotono Mitsuishi as Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon, Michie Tomizawa as Rei Hino/Sailor Mars, and Rica Fukami as Minako Aino/Sailor Venus.

The English cast includes Amanda C. Miller as Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter, Cherami Leigh as Minako Aino/Sailor Venus, Cristina Vee as Rei Hino/Sailor Mars,Kate Higgins as Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury, Sandy Fox as Chibiusa/Sailor Chibi Moon, and Stephanie Sheh as Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon. Additional cast includes John Eric as Tiger’s Eye, Michael Yurchak as Hawk’s Eye, and Erik Scott Kimerer as Fish’s Eye.

Plot Concept:
The hunt for Pegasus heats up after the evil Zirconia enlists the help of the mischievous but deadly Amazoness Quartet to find the mystical creature and the Golden Crystal he possesses for their ruler, the beautiful Queen Nehalennia! From hypnotic stage shows to energy-draining spiderwebs, the Amazoness Quartet seems to endanger even its own members in its attempt to obtain the Golden Crystal. What would they do if they discovered that Pegasus has chosen Chibi-Usa as his host? And why is Queen Nehalennia so obsessed with obtaining the Golden Crystal? The Sailor Guardians are in for a real surprise as they uncover the Queen of Darkness’s secret and her connection to Sailor Moon’s past!
