The Weekly Anime Discussion Post For November 11th, 2018

2 min read

This past week in anime has once again felt too light and fleeting to me in a way since the lack of short form shows this season makes me sad. The few we have are fun enough overall but it’s just such a drop from before that it’s distinctly noticeable with what’s been picked up and streamed legally. That has left me with more time toward the home video side though and that’s useful, especially ahead of a week where we have a lot of Funimation titles to catch up on and a bunch of Sentai Filmworks releases incoming!

This past week had me working through a few titles and getting them posted for the most part as well. After getting the big stack of Funimation titles in we watched and review the various Free! movies.

I also checked out the second season of Dagashi Kashi which I think most folks felt was worse than the first but was one I enjoyed a whole lot more than the first.

and we also traveled back in time in a weird way with more Accel World finally coming out. I really miss this property as the original simulcast was very exciting at the time.

We’ve also got some Monster Hunter Stories in the process and I’m going to follow that up with some fanservice silliness with more Testament of Sister New Devil BURST from the stack I have to work on.
