It’s time for Aku no Hana, aka The Flowers of Evil, to expand its reach. Happinet has revealed that the manga from Shuzo Oshimi is now being produced as a live-action film with NTT Plala. Noburi Iguchi is on board to direct it with Mari Okada handling the screenplay. The project is set for a 2019 debut with casting to come later.
The manga was released in North America by Vertical Comics while the anime series was simulcast in much of the world by Crunchyroll. Sentai Filmworks has licensed and previously released it on DVD and Blu-ray in North America. You can see our thoughts on this thoroughly engaging series here.
Plot Concept: Bookworm Takao falls in love with Nanako, but he cannot express his feelings through words.
