We learned back in January that the Grimms Notes game Square Enix will be getting an anime adaptation and it’s on track for the winter 2019 season in January. With the basics setup for it already we now have some of the theme song side being revealed with singles releases scheduled for February 2019. Ayana Taketatsu is going to handle the opening theme song “Innocent Notes” for the series while  i☆Ris is set to perform ending theme song “Endless Notes,” which isn’t too much of a surprise as one of the members, Miyu Kubota, is in the series itself.

Seiki Sugawara is directing it based on the series composition by Hiroshi Yamaguchi. Kentaro Matsumoto is handling the character designs with Brain’s Base working on the animation production.

The Japanese cast so far includes Ryota Ohsaka as Ekusu, Reina Ueda as Reina, Miyu Kubota as Shane,  and Takuya Eguchi as Tao.

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: The game revolves around the adventure of players with a given book that tells their fate in the world created by “Storytellers” and these people must fight against “Chaos Tellers” who overwrite their books with bad events.
