We had gotten the schedule previously for the Strike the Blood III anime releases that Warner Bros. Japan was putting out and now the distributor is doing some new advertising for it. That’s come in the form of the first commercial spot for the first volume coming up soon. The five-volume release is beginning on December 19th, 2018 where both formats are listed as limited editions and will be priced at 6,800 yen each. Check out the details with extras below!
The property is based on the light novels of the same name by Gakuto Mikumo with artwork by Manyako, which began in 2011 and has eighteen volumes to date. A manga adaptation began in 2012 summer that’s progressing slowly with artwork be Tate.
The cast includes Yoshimasa Hosoya as Kojō Akatsuki, Risa Taneda as Yukina Himeragi, Asami Seto as Asagi Aiba, Rina Hidaka as Nagisa Akatsuki, Ikumi Hayama as Sayaka Kirisaka, Ryota Ohsaka as Motoki Yaze, Hisako Kanemoto as Natsuki Minamiya, and Yuka Iguchi as Astarte.
The TV series and previous two OVA series had Hideyo Yamamoto directing based off of scripts by Hiroyuki Yoshino with character designs by Keiichi Sano. Discotek Media has picked up the home video rights for the TV show in North America.
