The fall 2018 anime series The Girl in Twilight, known as Akanesasu Shojo in Japan, is moving right along as it’s been picked up by Sentai Filmworks and is getting streamed through HIDIVE. In Japan, the official site has delivered a great new key visual that will appeal to a segment of fans as it’s an illustration by one of the designers, Masakazu Katsura. Katsura has done a lot of works over the past couple of decades that appeal to me a lot with its style but it’s certainly not for everyone. Check it out below!

The series comes from an original plan by Koutarou Uchikoshi and designs by Masakazu Katsura with Hiroyuki Asada. Hitoshi Tamamura is the director with Yuuichi Abe as the series director. Shoujo Yasukawa is handling the series composition while Hiroki Harada is adapting the character designs. Animation production is being handled by DandeLion Animation Studio and Juumonji.

The Japanese cast includes Tomoyo Kurosawa as Asuka Tsuchimiya, Lynn as Yū Tōnaka, Nao Tōyama as Mia Silverstone, Ami Koshimizu as Nana Nanase, and Marina Inoue as Chloé Morisu.

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: Constantly on the lookout for her next big adventure, the cheerful and kind Asuka Tsuchimiya is always ready to try new things with her high school friends from the Crystal Radio Club. One day, the group performs a ritual from an urban myth just for fun. However, several conditions had fallen into place to put the ritual in motion, opening the door to a new world of gold and jet black. In this world, Asuka finds a different version of herself and soon finds out that some doors were never meant to be opened.
