Another lead role in the Game of Thrones prequel series which looks like it might be called The Long Night has been revealed with Josh Whitehouse being revealed. The actor is known for his work in Poldark and he’s involved with several other films in production with The Happy Worker and Valley Girl.

The previously announced cast includes Naomi Watts.

The series comes from Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin. The two collaborated on the concept for it with Goldman writing the pilot where she’ll serve as the showrunner as well.

Plot Concept: The project takes place thousands of years before the events of Game Of Thrones. It chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.
