With Viz Media recently getting the North American release of the manga, the reveal in June from Japan that the Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga from Aka Akasaki was getting an anime adaptation was nicely timed. The official site recently set a January 2019 premiere for the show and we now have a new 30-second promo that has revealed some of the cast. The leads were revealed with Aoi Koga as Kaguya Shinomiya and Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane. Check out the teaser below!
Mamoru Hatakeyama is directing based on the series composition and supervision by Yasuhiro Nakanishi. Yuuko Yahiro is handling the character designs and A-1 Pictures is behind the animation production.
The manga began in Miracle Jump in early 2015 and moved to Young Jump in 2016. The property has ten volumes out as of June 2018.

Plot Concept: Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who stand atop their prestigious academy’s student council, making them the elite among elite. But it’s lonely at the top and each has fallen for the other. There’s just one huge problem standing in the way of lovey-dovey bliss-they’re both too prideful to be the first to confess their romantic feelings and thus become the ‘loser’ in the competition of love! And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!
